My message this Christmas is simple. I desperately need Jesus in my life. I celebrate His birth this month, and call Him by name, as “my Jesus.” His life and death changed my heart; changed the way I think, and the way I live - and for that I am eternally grateful. He fills the massive hole in my heart left from Bill’s death, and the empty places and spaces in the minutes of my day. His peace calms my spirit when I am overwhelmed with sadness. His comfort soothes my soul when I am overcome with emotion. His word gives me hope when I am overwrought with the impact of a great loss.

However, there is a light within me that even death cannot extinguish. That light is Jesus, and because that same light shined brightly in Bill, I know he is celebrating this Christmas in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And that, my friends, brings me the greatest peace and comfort of all.

Perhaps you desperately need Jesus in your life this Christmas to fill the hole in your heart. Follow His light through the darkness, to the manger where He was born. Celebrate His birth as you call Him by name. He is “your Jesus.”

May you have a Christ-centered Christmas.

From My Heart to Yours,
