Arizona, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia; not all the usual Marine Corps places, but all necessary to bring me to where I am today. One thing I have learned is that God IS more powerful than the Marine Corps and will use them to put you exactly where HE wants you to be. Had we not been in Yuma, AZ, we would not have been willing to go to Mississippi and experience the people stopping you in the parking lot of Walmart and asking, “Do you know Jesus? Where do you go to church?”  We went back to the church there and both found Jesus (not at Walmart, by the way, but in the people of the town).  

Had we not been in Mississippi we would have never been ready to go to North Carolina where the people we met didn’t just ask us to church they wanted us to participate in it. We were ready then and learned so much at the feet of amazing Christian mentors about walking with the Lord. Their loving arms cradled us through a deployment and through our move to Fredericksburg.

God then brought us where we found out there is not always going to be the perfect church ready and waiting. Now we are helping to plant a new church. 

Sure, when it comes time to move, we pray about the “list of three” but always know something will come up and we will have just the right door opened at just the right time to put us right where HE wants us.
