Two Formats Available
Our "Moving On" groups are available in two formats. The first and most popular format for military based groups is our "Video Teaching Series" Class. The second format is a leader based group. Both formats are based on the book After The Boxes Are Unpacked," by Susan Miller. Susan is founder and president of Just Moved!

Option 1: Video Teaching Series (VTS)
This format is most popular with our military groups. All you need is a VCR or DVD player and a facilitator to lead discussions. With our VTS, your group will join Susan Miller's video classroom as she guides women through the process of "Letting Go, Starting Over and Moving Ahead" with their life after a move.

Included with the VTS is our easy-to-use "Facilitator's Manual." This manual has done all the homework for the class leader and will promote group discussions that will help your group get the most out of their time together.

We highly recommend that each group member have their own copy of the books, NEWcomer's Workbook and After The Boxes Are Unpacked. These books are wonderful assets that will be cherished and referenced often. Class materials are available from our web site or by contacting Just Moved!

Option 2: Leader Based Class
Our "Class In A Box" will equip you with everything you need to organize and lead a NEWcomer's group for 6 women and a leader. You'll appreciate our resourceful Leader's Manual as it guides you along with easy to follow weekly lesson plans, chapter objectives, ice breakers, sharing time, visual aid suggestions, scripture foundations, and closing prayers.

Some of our military groups meet as a neighborhood group while others operate through the PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) or CWOC (Catholic Women of the Chapel). Most groups recoup their investment in the materials by charging a nominal class registration fee.

SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the nature of mobile military life, there often are changes in group leadership. We highly recommend that the VTS and Facilitator's Manual remain in the base Chapel or with the PWOC/CWOC; so as leaders move and are relocated, a new leader can easily step in and facilitate the VTS group.
