I think your book may help [my husband] as it has help me.

Susan,
Thank you again for coming all the way up here to the Great White North to speak with us here at Minot, AFB. I wanted to email you and let you know that I am really dwelling on what you said.

We are up to our noses in boxes, moving again.   My husband has been really nostalgic and thinking more on memories than I have. I think your book may help him as it  has helped me.

I always thought there was something wrong with me...

Dear Susan,
I just wanted to thank you for coming to Minot AFB to speak to us. You are truly an inspiration to many women. I am almost finished reading After the Boxes are Unpacked and I can't wait to start But Mom, I Don't Want to Move! I know these books have changed the outlook of many regarding the whole moving experience and all the wonderful things that come along with moving. It's just what many of us here needed. I always thought there was something wrong with me because it just seems like I have so much trouble adjusting to new people and places after moving 5 times in the last 7 years. At times I have thought that maybe military life was just not for me and then I realize that I could not live happily without my husband and, like you, I would follow him to the ends of the earth...

Thank you again for making the trip out here! You are an amazing woman and I will never forget you!

Susan Miller spoke at the Fort Huachuca PWOC retreat held at Rio Rico resort in Southern Arizona, April 3 & 4, and for the PWOC of Fort Irwin in California, March 31. Some of the women who attended, sent a message to the Just Moved! Facebook page! Many thanks to those who wrote in!

God is in our circumstances...

What a joy. You shared a seldom-heard truth: God is in our circumstances, at work! I was reminded of the privilege of being a wife and mother, homemaker, neighbor. It is God's call on our lives and we can know He is working in the middle of our circumstances!!  Thank you Susan for your honesty, vulnerability, and pointing us to our great hope who is Jesus.

Renewing our passion for Christ...

Susan, you were a tremendous blessing to our group at Rio Rico. Thank you, thank you for the wonderful teaching and encouragement for us to renew our passion for Christ, our first love. Thank you for the terrific and practical tips. I know you said to look you up in Scottsdale if we're ever out that way. Well, I'm warning you...I just might! Love from your "new best friend.”

Can't wait to "shine"...

Susan, the Lord really speaks through you and we really enjoyed your company this weekend in Rio Rico. The topics about family and children really made an impact on me and I can't wait to "shine" through your teaching! Take care and keep it up girl!!! God Bless.

Grateful to have our family back together...

We send warm greetings to you. We are especially grateful this year to have our family back together. This past year has been hard, but God is so very faithful and He has been my help and strength. My husband had a very tough assignment in Iraq. He lost several soldiers that he knew personally. His unit has about a dozen soldiers still hospitalized. It's going to take time for his heart to heal. He is finally starting to relax, which hasn't been easy after coming off of fourteen months of being "on" 24/7, not to mention the spiritual and emotional tax of being the chaplain for 1,000 soldiers. Please keep him in your prayers.

Our lives are filled with both joys and sorrows, but our Lord has been with us, and really, that's the whole point. He is "Emmanuel," God with us, and His companionship is what makes life sweet. We pray His presence would bring you peace as you trust in Him.

Catching The Vision...

I'm looking forward to a move with my military husband and young daughters in 2008. I feel more equipped and pray there will be a Just Moved! group on the other side. If there isn't a group in my new home area, I'll be in touch.

Hurting More Than I Thought Possible
Note to Susan Miller: Keynote speaker at Faithlift Conference

I wanted to tell you how much you touched my life and the lives of my family. I've made some discoveries as a result of the Faithlift Conference that should have been apparent to me all along. While I was trying to help my children to grieve the loss of their Dad, I was hurting more than I thought was ever possible. I thank you for your heartfelt compassion during my time of need. While ministering to me, you ministered to my entire family.

I Pray That I Too will grow...
Note to Susan Miller: Keynote speaker at Faithlift Conference

I just wanted to tell you again how much you have touched many women’s lives here during Faithlift. You are the epitome of Jesus shining through your beautiful self and I pray that I too will grow to become as graceful as you.
