Let Go: What have you done this week to better someone else's life?
Start Today: Each week this month, choose one person in your life for whom you will do something kind.
Move Ahead: Write a letter of thanks to someone who had an impact on your life.

Challege 34
Blessed are they who expect nothing for they shall not be disappointed!

Let Go:  Has your move left you disappointed in your circumstances?
Start Today:  Make a list of the expectations you had for this move.  Did you have expectations for the new job? new house? neighborhood? schools? friendships?  Be honest with yourself.  Determine how realistic your list has been.  Have you allowed ample time for these expectations to come about?  Do your expectations depend upon the behavior of others? 
Move Forward:  Pray about each expectation and surrender it to God.  Tell God (out loud!) that you will trust HIS timing and HIS plan for your hopes for this move.  Destroy the list as an act of releasing your expectations and accepting what God has in mind for this move.


Challenge 33
I have often looked back and thought, What if I had chosen to cling to the past rather than cherish it? What if I had chosen not to let go? Could I have ever really started over in all our moves?

Let Go:  What are the things, people, or places that you left behind that you are clinging to?
Start Today:  Make a list of those things you are clinging to and a list of the things you should be cherishing. Search your heart to discover how clinging is keeping you from starting over.
Move Forward: Each week this month, do one thing that helps you to connect with your new church or community.

Challenge 32
The journey of healing after a move is one of action.  I let go--God mends me.  I start over--God molds me.  I move ahead--God matures me.

Let Go:  Identify what you have left behind that has affected your ability to start over.
Start Today:  Begin the process of letting go, starting over, and moving ahead with your life.
Moving Forward:  Look for God's presence in your life as He begins to mend your heart, mold your life, and mature you in Him.

Challenge 31
I was so wrapped up with my own feelings, as well as the details and planning of the move, that I felt like I wasn't there to listen and talk to my children. I wish I had been there more for them.

Let Go: What are some things you would do differently next time to help your children in the moving process?
Start Today: Be intentional about listening to your child's fears and concerns about moving.
Move Forward: Use this move as an opportunity to build bridges of connectedness with your children.

Be faithful in the little practices of love which will build in you the life of holiness and make you Christ like.

Let Go: Christ wants to be on the inside--in your heart--and wants you to have Christian friends on the outside. 
Start Today: Look for a friend who is an extension of
Jesus Christ, not a substitute for Him.
Move Forward: Because we have received His love, we can then give that love to others.

Let Go: Is there an area of your life that needs a positive change, either personal or spiritual?
Start Today: Choose 3 goals for yourself that will help you to move in a positive direction and help you to grow in your relationship with God.
Move Forward: Keep God's word in your heart. A person's heart guides what their mind thinks.

Let Go: Are you a pessimist or an optimist about your move?
Start Today: Write down the issues that have made it difficult for you to Move Forward.
Move Forward: Acknowledge these difficulties and find a way to make each one an opportunity to grow closer to God.

Let Go: Find comfort in knowing that God has His hand on everything that happens in your life.
Start Today: Many times God initiates a change in our lives, like moving, which will allow us to grow in our relationship with Him as we learn to trust Him.
Move Forward: Embrace this move as a blessing in your life.

Challenge 26
The emotional "luggage tags" we wear when moving identify our feelings (and the emotional baggage we carry with us!)  such as anger, fear, discouragement, disappointment, hurt, comparison, or loneliness. Many times these emotional luggage tags keep us from starting over and moving ahead with life.

Start Today: Choose to begin to let go of the emotional baggage you're still carrying.
Move Forward: Recall the times of God's faithfulness in your life as a reminder of what God has done, and can do.

Challenge 25
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

Let Go: When crowds of people demanded his attention, how did Jesus cope? He slipped away early in the morning to spend quiet time alone with his heavenly Father.
Start Today: His example reminds us to make time with God a priority.
Move Forward: Our fellowship with God is where we find strength to face life"s demands.
